THE ROLE
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of payroll for the company including accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll, and monthly payroll reporting. The Payroll Specialist will also manage PTO and benefits

Remote Position
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll data; Utilizes payroll system to produce accurate and timely payroll. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
• Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management.
• Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
• Stays current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with Human Resources benefits and other related and to ensure effective accounting support.
• Facilitates employee understanding of payroll procedures, answering associate questions as they arise.
• Maintain and reconcile attendance (vacation and leave without pay)
• Enter and maintain employee information.
• Review and audit W-2’s and 1099’s files for accuracy
• Responsible for the worker’s comp audit
• Enter new benefits enrollments/life events and ensure accuracy of deductions
• Monitor benefit enrollment notifications/error notices from insurance carriers
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE POSSESSES:
• At least one year of accounting/billing experience is preferred
• College degree preferred
• Ability and willingness to function independently
• Advanced knowledge of Google Docs
• Excellent verbal and written skills required
• Highly detail oriented and has a knack for time management
• Ability to remain professional and courteous with clients at all times
• Experience in a trucking industry is a plus
Billing specialist
THE ROLE
Critical Supply Solutions is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join our team! As a Billing Specialist, you’ll work within the Accounting team to ensure that all billing and accounts payable functions are running smoothly and effectively. You’ll drive the billing and A/P process by utilizing your effective problem-solving skills, time management skills, meticulous attention to detail, communication, and carrier/customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• The Billing Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate billing of accounting services. Including but not limited to:
• Assist the Accounting department with billing and collections
• Responsible for the complete set up of direct deposit information with new brokers
• Respond to invoices and all vendor inquiries and provide updates as necessary
• Process credit applications, tax abatement inquiries and other billing updates as required
• Responsible for maintaining professionalism with clients and provide the best customer service experience
• Ensure all carriers are paid correctly for services provided
• Work closely with the Accounting Team to ensure that all approved payments are sent out in a timely manner
• Accounting manager will delegate tasks as needed
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE POSSESSES:
• 5+ years’ experience in general payroll
• Bachelors preferred, not required
• Ability and willingness to function independently
• Advanced knowledge of Google Docs
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to improve processes
• Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
• Experience in the trucking industry is a plus
