Remote Position
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Must have the ability to work independently and manage recruiting functions, including but not limited to, conducting phone interviews, coordinating Google meeting interviews, updating and maintaining CRM information on roles and candidates, and creating job descriptions and job postings.
• Responsible for driving all recruiting functions, such as resume screening, scheduling interviews, assessments, cold calling, email, computer databases, and internet recruiting resources.
• Actively participate in and continuously develop recruiting campaigns such as job boards, PPC, and social media, and screen candidates through a variety of recruitment methods such as networking, social media, employee referrals, military recruiting, and job fairs to ensure we find the most qualified candidates.
• Maintain high volume calls and prioritize retention while educating candidates on the benefits of driving for the company.
• Assume responsibility for registration, insurance compliance, and permits for all company equipment, and maintain an internal database with current driver status, license information, and DOT compliance information.
• Develop, execute, and maintain effective driver safety training programs in compliance with OSHA, FMCSR, and company safety policies, including proper usage of the ELD system.
• Schedule and conduct regular ride-along sessions to ensure driver compliance and positive safety habits while identifying challenges/trends.
• Develop a driver and fleet scorecard to track overall safety and compliance performance and manage driver logs to ensure timely and accurate completion, as well as compliance with Federal DOT regulations.
• Ensure drivers remain compliant with annual physicals, drug/alcohol screenings, and driver license renewals in accordance with all state, federal, and local laws, and report non-compliant drivers or incidents to the General Manager for corrective action/discipline.
• Take charge of building and maintaining Driver Qualification files, monitoring CSA BASICs scores, developing and conducting regularly scheduled Driver Safety Meetings, and formulating plans to reduce and prevent safety incidents/accidents by monitoring the use of safety/compliance technology (Keep Truckin) and analyzing trend data based on those results.
• Foster a “Safety Focused” culture throughout the company, incorporating operations, safety, and maintenance departments, and assume primary responsibility in responding to personal injury and vehicle accidents through on-scene investigation and preparing and submitting reports to the corporate Human Resources Department in accordance with company policy.
• Operate with strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills, and demonstrate desired management experience.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE POSSESSES:
• 5+ years of experience in the CDL-A transportation sector, with a focus on safety, recruiting, or driver retention. Understanding FMCSA and DOT requirements, and Electronic Log compliance.
• Self-motivation, results-driven approach, and experience in fast-paced, detailed roles.
• Expertise in sourcing and qualifying candidates, with excellent consultative skills.
• Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and pleasant demeanor.
• Ability to ensure safety compliance, manage resistance, and foster cooperation.
• Leadership skills, particularly in promoting safety practices and influencing safety-conscious culture.
• A team player with a professional focus on recruiting and commitment to safety.
Recruiting Coordinator

• Conduct phone interviews for candidates and coordinate in person interviews for appropriate candidates.
• Update and maintain CRM information on roles and candidates.
• Create job descriptions and job postings for all positions
• Drive all the recruiting functions including resume screening, scheduling interviews, assessments, cold calling, e-mail, computer databases, and Internet recruiting resources.
